About us

The Neeje Association for Women and Families was founded in 1980 as a non-profit organization to help girls and women develop their potential. We have grown, but our mission remains the same: to invite women to lead fulfilling lives.
Volunteer
Our development contributes to that of others. Realizing one's full potential, living in hope, having goals in life, this is what we bring to our volunteers and what they bring to others. Our programs exist and thrive thanks to our volunteers, a sure value that we cannot do without.

Solidarity

Neeje is both supportive and communal. Our women are involved in carrying out these two aspects of our work. Propelled by our groups, our clubs, our camp and our alumni, our community action is based on friendship.

Growth
We are inspired by Saint Josemaria Escriva, who invites everyone to transform “everyday prose into heroic verse”. The integrity we advocate is the fruit of cultural, personal and spiritual development.
History
Neeje has been encouraging girls and women to realize their full potential since the 1980s. The Valrideau University Residence, located in a heritage building in the heart of Ottawa, was our first project. The Chilawee Trails girls' camp, which takes place in Barry's Bay, soon followed. Our growth continues, but our core mission remains the same.
Charity
All members of our non-profit organization are volunteers. To become the best version of themselves, they draw inspiration and guidance from our activities. Then, they are invited to give back by inviting others to follow in their footsteps.
Organization
Neeje's main objective is to support the Valrideau-valrideau.com University Residence and the Chilawee Trails -chilaweetrails.ca camp. Our programs for women, students, young professionals and mothers make it possible to form deep and lasting friendships. Neeje entrusts her doctrinal and spiritual programs to Opus Dei-opusdei.ca, a personal prelature of the Catholic Church.
